Bachelor of Health Science- Chinese Medicine (Herbal Upgrade for Acupuncturists)

Description

The Southern School of Natural Therapies (SSNT) is pleased to announce a new pathway for existing graduates with a recognised Bachelor of Health Science degree in acupuncture to upgrade their qualifications to include Chinese herbal medicine.

Graduates will be required to undertake a course of study for three years part time. This course will include the advantage of face to face lectures and supervised clinical practicum.

Students will expand their existing knowledge base of Chinese medicine with extensive lectures and tutorials on Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese herbal classic literature, herbal preparation, herbal dispensing, CM Internal medicine, CM Psychology, CM Paediatrics, CM Gynaecology and Obstetrics, CM Ear, Eye, Nose and Throat and Western Psychology.

Upon completion students will be eligible to receive the SSNT Bachelor of Health Science-Chinese Medicine (BHSc.-CM). This award is a government accredited degree with the Victorian Office of Higher Education and has course approval from the Chinese Medicine Registration Board of Victoria in both divisions of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
