Bachelor of Health Science - Naturopathy
Description
The four-year Bachelor of Health Science - Naturopathy degree at the Southern School was the first 4-year degree in naturopathy to be accredited by the Victorian Government and represents a benchmark in naturopathic training in Victoria. The course provides the highest level of training available, is Austudy-approved and has been offered since 1998. The main aim of the course is to educate and train naturopathic practitioners to the best possible standard and to enable them to provide a valuable service as primarycontact practitioners within the health-care system. The degree qualifies graduates for registration with all major naturopathic professional bodies, enabling patients to obtain rebates for naturopathic treatment from their health funds.
1 semester = 17 weeks (14 teaching weeks, 1 revision week, 2 exam weeks).
Student Association fee: $10.00 per year (optional).
Please Note: Minimum 75% loading to qualify for Austudy.
Students studying in this course are eligible for government assistance through FEE-HELP which is a government student loan provided to eligible fee-paying students to pay for their tuition fees to a maximum of $80,000, repayable from future earnings through the tax system. The Commonwealth Government pays the amount of the loan directly to the student's provider.

General Entry Requirements
All prospective students in the Bachelor of Health Science - Naturopathy,
Bachelor of Health Science - Chinese Medicine and Bachelor of Health Science - Myotherapy need to attend a pre-admission Selection Interview. To be eligible for entry to the course applicants will be required to have:
* successfully completed the Victorian Certificate of Education or its equivalent
* demonstrated, in their pre-admission interviews, interest in, and commitment to, the relevant approach to the maintenance of their own health and that of the community
* demonstrated appropriate levels of maturity and motivation necessary to successfully complete the course
