Graduate Certificate in Health and Human Services (Mgmt & Lship)
Description
UTAS and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) have a partnership that recognises the importance of management and leadership skills in the delivery of patient/client-centred health and human services care. UTAS has developed an education program to support the Department's workforce and to equip staff with the skills required to further their knowledge in management and leadership within the Tasmanian health sector.
*To encourage health and human services professionals to engage critically with issues and trends in the delivery of contemporary health services;
*To create awareness of the increasing contribution of multi disciplinary and interprofessional work practices to health and human services;
*To foster an awareness of the growing importance of effective health and human services management, governance and leadership; and
*To manage health and human services projects effectively.
This two-semester, part-time course articulates with a four-semester Graduate Diploma and a six-semester Master of Management and Leadership (Health and Human Services).
Requirements
An undergraduate degree of an Australian higher education institution or the equivalent standard in any other institution; or
Equivalent experience and/or qualifications as approved by the Dean as delegated to the course coordinator.
