DescriptionThe effective management of health services is of vital importance to the community and health sector alike. In response to the need for improved health management education, the Graduate Diploma in Health Management is designed to equip students with the knowledge, competencies and professional attitudes to undertake senior managerial roles and to provide health leadership within the health sector.The Graduate Diploma in Health Management comprises four core units and either four study area units or cross-specialisation. The Master of Health Management comprises four core units PLUS two study areas OR one study area and four electives OR one study area and a thesis OR eight units from across the study areas. For more information on course structures please visit www.hlth.qut.edu.au/ph Study Areas Specialised streams of study are offered in the areas of: - Health Services Management - Risk Management * - Emergency and Disaster Management # - Health Technology + There is also the option of not completing a study area and choosing units from more than one study area RequirementsEntry RequirementsApplicants must have an appropriate bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution, or other qualifications/work experience acceptable to the Head of the School of Public Health. It is assumed that students entering this program will have a broad knowledge of health and health care, information technology, or environmental health. NotesCourse ArticulationThe Graduate Diploma in Health Management fully articulates into the Master of Health Management.
