The three-year Bachelor of Nursing offers a comprehensive university program including specialist nursing studies, behavioural and health science, professional development and the compulsory Core Curriculum units in Philosophy, Ethics and Theology. Students also have the option to do a Mental Health major within the Bachelor of Nursing.

The School of Nursing encourages applications from all ages.

The minimum entry requirements into the Bachelor of Nursing are:

*		Indicative ATAR (formerly known as the UAI) of 70.
*		Overall score of 150 in the Multiple Choice and Written English sections of the Special Tertiary Admissions Test "STAT" (for applicants over 20 years of age).
*		TAFE or approved RTO Certificate IV, Associate Diploma or Diploma in a relevant area such as Community Services, Enrolled Nurse, or Perioperative Nursing.
*		Successful completion of the Notre Dame Tertiary Enabling Program (Stream B: Nursing).

Applicants with an Enrolled Nurse qualification are eligible to receive one semester credit off the Bachelor of Nursing, allowing them to finish the course in 2 and a half years.

In addition, international students must also prove their English language proficiency with an IELTS score of no less than 7.0 with no less than 7.0 in each of the sub-sections.

The School of Nursing offers a formal curriculum that places strong emphasis on clinical and hospital experience. Notre Dame nursing students will attain a broad theoretical base to complement the comprehensive clinical component.

The Notre Dame School of Nursing has formed clinical partnerships with three of Sydney's largest teaching health care services - St Vincent's and Mater Health, Sydney South West Area Health Service, and Sydney West Area Health Service. Nursing students will spend their entire 33 weeks clinical placements over the 3 year program with one of these clinical partners and will become part of the health care team.
