Public health is the prevention of disease and injury in the whole community and the promotion of cost-effective and equitable health care services. Research topics must be in areas connected with a public health problem or issue.

Adequate public health knowledge through previous coursework training in public health or professional experience; bachelor's degree with at least upper second class honours (or equivalent)
