MBBS
MBBS
We are proud to be offering a new and exciting program at Oceania University of Medicine (OUM), a Five-Year Undergraduate MBBS, on our vibrant Samoan campus. We are fortunate to have as our partner in this program Samoa's primary teaching hospital, Tupua Tamasese Meaole (TTM) Hospital, and together we welcome your interest. OUM opened its doors in 2002 offering a graduate-entry MD/MBBS program blending distance-learning and other innovative modes of teaching. Expanding our offerings with an undergraduate MBBS program has always been our intention. Our academic goal always has been to train well-rounded graduates with the foundation knowledge, attitudes, behaviour, and skills to be successful in postgraduate medical training, as well as throughout their careers. We are meeting that goal with our non-traditional adult students (average age 41) who are now practising in Australia, Samoa, and the USA. With the launch of our undergraduate MBBS, a path is now available for school leavers who wish to move directly into medical school. For you, we open our doors, our campus and our teaching hospital, offering an impressive faculty to train you for a career in medicine.
All of our graduate-entry students have bachelor's degrees and many even advanced degrees, some taking decades before returning to study at medical school. But these aren't the only individuals who hear the calling to become physicians.
