WAITEMATA DISTRICT HEALTH BOARD
One of 21 District Health Boards in New Zealand, Waitemata District Health Board (WDHB) provides and funds health and disability services to a population of 500,000 residing within the Auckland regions of North Shore and Waitakere, and the Rodney districts, in North Island.
WDHB has the largest and second fastest growing population in the country, and is the largest secondary healthcare provider.
WDHB provides medical, surgical, maternity, mental health and addiction, dental, community health and support services through North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals and a number of community sites within its district.
WDHB also provides regional services which include alcohol and drug services and a School Dental Service for the Auckland Region, forensic psychiatric services at Mason Clinic and child disability services at Wilson Centre for Auckland and Northland Regions.
