Medacs Healthcare are currently recruiting for Radiographers of all levels to work for privately run hospitals across London.

Each hospital operates an Imaging department.

The imaging modalities include a 64-slice CT scanner, Nuclear Medicine cardiac catheter labs, MRI Scanners, digital x ray rooms, fluoroscopy and Digital Mammography units. They also have Kodak CR, with images archive to their GE PACS network.

 These hospitals are actively looking to fill vacancies for Senior I Radiographers specialising in MRI scanning.
The MRI service is comprised of four 1.5 T Siemens scanners and a 1T extremity scanner.
Their departments actively encourages CPD and supports career development and offers excellent training opportunities.

Main duties:

• Undertake and perform all departmental examinations requested to a high level of radiographic skill.
• Assist the Consultant Radiologists in the performance of their examinations.
• Being amenable at all times to a broad spectrum of requests.
• Provide radiographic back up in theatre examinations of all kinds whilst adhering to radiation protection and sterile protocols.
• Perform all types of routine mobile radiographic examinations
• Routinely perform all  CR processing and basic PACS tasks
• Participate fully in the standby and on-call system of the department.
• Be prepared to participate in a shift system if required.
• Participate in the cross training programme of the department (which may include C.T. scanning, Angiography, nuclear medicine and MRI)

 * In order to practice as a Radiographer in the UK, candidates must be registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) or be prepared to complete the Overseas Nursing Programme (ONP) in the UK in order to apply for HPC registration.
