Registered Midwife (Level 2 Birth Suite)

Pindara Private Hospital provides 219 acute care beds and on site facilities include a 24 hour Emergency Department, 9 Operating Theatres, Intensive Care & Coronary Care units, a state of the art Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Maternity unit, in-house Pharmacy, comprehensive Pathology & X-Ray including Ultrasound, CT scan and Nuclear Medicine imaging.

Pindara Private Hospital is currently undergoing a redevelopment phase which will expand the Hospital to include 50 new private rooms, 4 additional operating theatres, a 5 level medical suite building and a multi-level car park.

Our Maternity Unit is a 25 bed ante/post natal unit, with 4 newly refurbished birth suites and a 16 cot Special Care Nursery.

An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic Level Two Registered Midwife to assist with the coordination of a Birth Suite with 1700 deliveries per annum and increasing.

This position can be either full-time or part-time.

This position requires an experienced Registered Midwife with a proven ability to provide excellent clinical skills in line with best practice. The successful applicant will have the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment, have proven leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, a strong focus on customer service and the ability to facilitate ongoing education for staff, including students and new graduates, with the support of our Maternity unit educator.

The successful Applicant must meet the following criteria :-

* Post Graduate qualifications in Midwifery with minimum 2 years Birth Suite experience

* Current Nursing Registration with Qld Nursing Council

* Current Blue Card (working with children under 18 years of age)
