In this role, you will provide social work services to consumers of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, their families, carers and significant others. Undertaking psychosocial assessment, counselling and implementation of appropriate intervention and discharge plans, you will facilitate consumer access to a range of services, both in the hospital and the community. You will also undertake a coordinator role within the treating team in relation to complex interventions and discharge planning.

Holding a degree level qualification in Social Work, you will have experience in grief and bereavement counselling and major life change. With sound knowledge of psychosocial issues relevant to consumers of the health service, you will be skilled in applying relevant theories and methodologies for intervention with health care clients.
