Nursing Australia wins major contract
Date of Posting:
Nursing Australia has won a three-year contract to supply general and specialist nursing staff across Ramsay Health Care’s entire network of hospitals in Sydney and the Hunter Valley region. Under the deal, Nursing Australia will manage and provide midwives, along with theatre and critical care nurses, to more than a dozen Ramsay Health Care hospitals and day surgery clinics. Ramsay Health Care previously used up to 40 external agency suppliers to meet its casual nursing staff needs. Nursing Australia is a division of Origin Healthcare, one of Australia’s largest specialist health care staffing solution providers with a national database of almost 50,000 nurses throughout Australia and New Zealand. The new contract covers the Castlecrag, Hunters Hill, Kareena, Mt Wilga, Northshore, St George, Strathfield and Westmead private hospitals in Sydney, along with the Northside, Northside Cremorne and Northside West clinics, and the Berkeley Vale, Lake Macquarie and Warners Bay private hospitals on the NSW central coast. Ramsay Health Care Victoria and metropolitan NSW state operations manager Bronte Kumm said the deal was another coup for the organisation. "Ramsay Health Care and Origin Healthcare currently have successful agreements in place in both Queensland and Western Australia and I am confident that this most recent agreement for New South Wales will enjoy similar success." Founded in Australia in 1964, Ramsay Health Care now owns and operates health care facilities across Australia, the UK, France and Indonesia. Share your thoughts![]() Related and Recent Articles
