Medical Recruitment was incorporated in 2002, however we have been involved in GP recruitment since 1986.

Director, Susan Hill, originally started with AMA in 1986 and was involved in the recruitment of GP Locums. Soon realising she had found fulfilment in this profession, Susan went into partnership to open Medical Locum Service (MLS) where her understanding, empathy and experience helped build Queensland’s second largest GP recruitment company, after AMA.

Knowing that the core business could extend outside Queensland’s borders she decided that it was time to move onwards and upwards, on her own, doing what she loved best. In August 1990, Susan Hill & Associates opened its doors to Australia.

July 1992 saw a change of name to Interstate Locum Services (ILS), reflecting the premise of the business and stressing the commitment to assisting practices and locums Australia-wide. The following year the business was sold while Susan went on hiatus.

After a 4 year absence, Susan was enticed back by many clients and realised she missed the excitement of the business and started Susan Hill Medical Recruitment, which is now Medical Recruitment Pty Ltd.

Since then, Medical Recruitment has gone from strength to strength, achieving international recognition from companies interested in our services. We believe our core business of GP recruitment is what keeps us at the forefront of this industry, so focusing solely on this aspect allows us to provide the professional and personalised service our clients have come to enjoy.
